Have you ever been told you’re a lot?

Maybe someone sighed and said you were too intense, too emotional, too passionate, too loud, as if your existence needed a volume dial.

I know that feeling.

My book, Have you Ever Been Told You’re ‘A LOT …Me Too, goes into detail about how I spent years trying to shrink myself o fit into spaces that weren’t built for me. It made me think about how I was told to “bring only 50% of myself to work,” as if my energy, drive, and ambition were liabilities instead of strengths.

But guess what, that’s nuts?

  • I’m done apologizing for who I am.
  • I’m done making myself smaller to make others comfortable.
  • And I’m definitely done believing that being ‘A Lot’ is a bad thing.

When Did “A Lot” Become an Insult?

Somewhere along the way, the world decided that being bold, passionate, and expressive was a problem.

But here’s what I’ve learned:

  • Being “A Lot” means you care deeply. (That’s called emotional intelligence.)
  • Being “A Lot” means you bring energy into a room. (That’s called leadership.)
  • Being “A Lot” means you don’t do things halfway. (That’s called ambition.)

So, tell me, honestly, why should we apologize for that

Just Own Your “A Lot”

Next time someone tells you to tone it down, try this:

  • Smile and say, “Thank you.” (Because it’s a compliment, not a critique.)
  • Say, “I know! Isn’t it great?” (Confidence is contagious.)
  • Or just keep being you, but louder, prouder, and unapologetic.

This Is Your Permission Slip to Stop Shrinking.

My book isn’t just about my story, it’s about all of us who’ve been told to be less when we were born to be more.

Are you ready to stop apologizing for who you are?

Are you done dimming your light for people who can’t handle your brightness?

Drop a note in the comments if you’re ready to OWN your “A Lot” energy with me. Let’s discuss how being too much is the best thing about you. I’m sure you have lots of stories.
